AUTOMA rinsing system
Modularity is the key feature of AUTOMA, a rotary machine designed and manufactured by ENOFIL S.R.L. for the rinsing and/or sterilization of the interior of new glass or PET containers and bottles.
The heart and starting point of the machine is the rinsing unit, equipped with a rail-guided clamp rotation system featuring central liquid distribution, which can be adjusted to increase or decrease the spray duration as required. If a container is missing, a safety device cuts off the liquid flow to prevent wastage. The gripper rotation is controlled via a rail (twist) mechanism to ensure perfect gripper rotation and eliminate the need for any maintenance on the rotation mechanism. The clamps, made of stainless steel and machined from solid stock on a lathe rather than die-cast, turn the container upside down; after the rinsing operation, the container remains upside down to allow the water to drain until the end of the rotation, i.e. in the discharge star area: at this point, the gripper places the bottle in the correct position so that it can be discharged from the machine. By adding a second washing station, however, the same machine can be used for bottle sterilization. The same system can also incorporate recirculation of the sprayed liquid via the recovery tank fitted with a pump. Microfiltration ensures the integrity of the recycled product. The carousel is height-adjustable, thus allowing, via a selector switch on the control panel, the processing of different bottle sizes. The machine, constructed entirely from AISI 304 stainless steel and high-strength plastics, can be supplied either as a standalone unit or as a complete system incorporating a filler and capper. Its production capacity ranges from 1,000 to 6,000 bottles per hour, with diameters from 60 to 115 mm and heights from 190 to 380 mm.
